There’s a warm welcome waiting for you

Welcome Home

We would love you to join us this Sunday – or anytime! Here’s a little glimpse of what to expect:

Morning Service

The morning service at 09:00 involves worship, which is a blend of traditional and contemporary songs, and a Bible-based sermon that is both encouraging and challenging.

Come as you are – there’s no dress code, and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. We don’t have a formal liturgy as such, but the service is structured to keep our hearts and minds focused on the Lord. The services are followed by tea and filter coffee – please stay to experience a taste of our warm fellowship.

Children & Teens

We offer a series of age-appropriate classes to equip children with God’s Word and help them to grow their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Children’s Church follows the ShareFaith curriculum while the teenagers cover topics such as various individuals in the Scriptures and key people in church history.

There is a nursery for parents with little ones, equipped with a live TV link so you don’t miss out. Our children’s and teens’ programmes also run during the service.

Evening Service

The evening service at 18:00 is more laid-back and interactive. You get an opportunity for some Q&A around the sermon to help deepen your understanding and apply the teaching in your everyday life.

Communion

Northcliff Union Church celebrates Communion every second week on the month, in accordance with Jesus’ instruction to do this in remembrance of His death. We practice an open table for Communion, which means that whoever has a relationship with Jesus Christ is welcome to partake of Communion; one does not need to be a member.

Baptism

The two ordinances evangelicals celebrate are Communion and Baptism. We see the imperative of baptism in the Great Commission in Matt 28.18-20. In line with historic Baptist practice, NUC practices Believer’s Baptism as full immersion.

This means that when somebody is ready to publicly confess that they have a personal faith and commitment to Jesus as Lord and King of their life, we celebrate this with them through immersion into water. If you are interested, please communicate with the office.

Dedication

There is a clear role that both the immediate family and the greater church family play in shepherding children into faith. While NUC celebrates Believer’s Baptism, we also celebrate and offer dedication for raising children in a godly manner.

This involves praising God for the gift of children, promising as parents and a community to be faithful in shepherding children, as well as asking God for His protection over our children in this world. If you are interested, please communicate with the office.
